Is honesty the best way when it comes to mental health at work?

I suffer from anxiety, I know what my triggers are and I am happy that, mostly, I manage to control it.

I decided to let my previous employer know that this was the case, but when they terminated my probation, I feel it may have been used against me.  So my big question is – Is it always best to divulge this kind of information, or sometimes is it best to not say?
